That would be goverment housing, sweetheart
It is finally happening... we are moving into on-post goverment housing this week! No more half hour to hour waits at the gate when all the brigades are home, no worrying about digging into my pocket to get my military ID out to show the gate gaurd to meet my husband for lunch - I am already on post! No more commuting to get my kids to school each morning, they can take the bus from my house each day (or their father's, same housing area). No more burning over a tank of gas a week just getting to and from post everyday. Just me putting the kids on the bus each morning, my husband being close enough to work to probably bike to work instead of driving ALL the time, being close enough to everything we use routinely (commissary, PX, etc) that a tank of gas will probably last us two weeks instead of half of one!

cool, congrats Jackie! I've been making my gas fill ups last close to 5-6 weeks these days. In some ways I think that is very sad, I must not be getting out much!!! I guess it's one benefit to living in a city... Hope you enjoy the new digs
