Where does the time go??

It is already the New Year!? WOW!! This last year has been rough, to say the least, with finances, adjusting to being a married woman again, Johnathon's military service creating some hiccups in life (he has plans to go far, but the people above him don't always make things happen, really) and him deploying (three months earlier than we had originally planned!!). And of course, his deployment has not been uneventful, either! His "safe" deployment started out with some of his stuff that was shipped arriving late, then his office was gutted by a fire (he lost a computer monitor and his body armor's vest is smoke damaged, but the plates are fine, and he was not at work at the time, so his laptop - and him - is fine) and then he ran headfirst into a window A/C unit and split his forehead open, requiring a CT scan to make sure he was ok. All before the year was over!!

The New year has started out on a good note, though. I got a 0500 wake up call on New Year's Day from him (ugh, I didn't lay down until 0300 and had been drinking!!) and Saturday he managed to actually have the day OFF, so he paid for 24 hours of internet in his room and we spent the ENTIRE day in webchat together. And I mean, ALL DAY. He woke me up at 0600 to tell me he wanted to use my debit card number to pay for it and that he had just waken up an hour and a half ago (which was around 1430 his time!!) and then called again at 0700 to tell me he was online, and we didn't get off until 1830 so he could go to bed since he had to work Sunday afternoon. I hated having to get offline with him, and I can't wait... around 7 months til he comes home for R&R if he gets his wish date, and around 10 months til we start guessing at what his exact return date will be!!
