Bad decision made worse by more bad decisions
Jumping off of the back of a couch is fun for someone who likes to jump around and climb stuff. It is not fun when you jump because you can feel your balance is off and land flat footed, stiff legged instead of bending your knees, and leaning slightly backwards. It is downright painful. And when you decide to tough it out and lift couches and other furniture, it can get worse. Like for me. It landed me on the floor of my living room unable to move, and when my friend tried to lift me, he got my shoulders about four inches off the floor before I started screaming from the pain. He could not even lift me without causing pain. So off to the ER we go. Where I was given two shots in the ASS!! One major league pain killer, one anti-inflamatory. Not fun. Then off for a ton of X-rays. No fracture, but there is a suggestion of disc degeneration. Not a good sign. Will probably stop me from going airborne school. Have to follow up with my regular doctor this week and find out more. They put me on some strong narcotics for the pain, but while they are making me sleepy, they are not doing much for the pain so far. So I am in pain as I type this, thus, it will be short. But I tell you this, whatever they gave me in the fourth point of contact, it made me look sober when I am trashed on twelve shots of tequila rose. It made me look like I had done five BOTTLES of it.
