Paradise.... sort of

I finally got down to Ft. Stewart, GA, and started my leave. Me and the kids already have burns from a day at the beach, the kids got their butts whipped by the ocean waves, saw the dolphins, got covered in sand, ate some sand with their lunch since they decided that after I had them rinse their hands in the ocean, they were going to sit down on their mats and promptly start to build sand castles... and that was just Tuesday afternoon. It was followed by a snack at a beach front resturant, showers at home, dinner at Applebee's and then seeing Surf's Up at the theater - a fitting movie to end a beach day. Monday was a shopping day to get all the stuff for the beach, except for a swimsuit for me. I might get one this week so that if we go swimming again, I don't have to wear a t-shirt and shorts. Yesterday was a lot calmer, a visit to daddy's work to meet his bosses so they can put faces to names if I ever need help from them and a trip to Cyress Sam's Treehouse to play. Today is going to be grocery shopping day so we can have some decent food in the house for dinner the rest of the two weeks.

Everything has been more or less good except for the fact that I have been called by work THREE times about the SAME thing, plus the one NCO that I can't stand and is NOT in my chian of command not only called me, she called my EX-HUSBAND'S cell for something that was clearly NOT an emergency. Talk about I am hot under the collar. Believe me, next time I talk to my section OIC, who happens to be a light bird, I will be mentioning it to her! I sent an email to my first line telling her that I have been called multiple times about the same issue and that the answer is the same, so hopefully the calls will stop so I can get on with my leave.

Either today or tommorrow I am going to try to get to the mall, obviously after we go shopping for food, and I still have to do some house hunting to see what the cost of rents are around here. It is very likely that I will be getting off active duty soon and moving down here, so I will need to make sure I can survive down here as a civillian.

Well, time to go shopping, butthead is bugging me so I will post some more laters!!
