Busy Busy

Well, it has been a while since I blogged, at first, because there was nothing to blog about, then, because what there was, I didn't want to blog on a public forum. Well, I still don't. But let's leave it at, I have some legal issues going on, my trial starts in December, at which point, hopefully the charges will be dropped since the person that the prosecution needs to testify most is going to testify FOR me, not against me.

I have applied for Department of the Army Civilian jobs at Fort Stewart, GA, so cross your fingers for me that I get one. That is the only way for me to get out of Chicago without giving up my military career. I am very unhappy here, as well as very, very broke. It is too expensive up here, and the kids miss daddy. If I am living down at Stewart, when he gets home from deployment, they can see him whenever they want to.

Arianna now has new glasses, she is darn near blind in her right eye, 20/400 due to a lazy eye, but she loves her glasses and has 20/20 in her left eye, so she is adjusting. She has another follow up appointment next weekend with the pediatric specialist, doubt there will be any improvement, she has only had the glasses for about two or three weeks, but we will see what she says about it.

About three weeks ago, I fell and sprained my ankle, spent two weeks on crutches, came off them last Friday, but I am still wearing a gel brace. I still can't walk right, lots of limp, but I am getting a lot of flak from my supervisors about the fact that I didn't just jump right up and walk just fine five minutes after I hurt myself. If it keeps up, I will be filing an IG complaint. I am tired of them opening their mouths about my health just because they are either quick healers, higher pain threshold, or just plain stupid and not doing what they should to take care of themselves.

Hon, they'll probably be checking to see how Arianna's coping with WEARING the glasses more than anything. That's what they did with Lexi and Chloe when they first started wearing them. After THAT they'll be looking to see if there's any improvement or not.

On a similar note, Chloe broke her glasses again last weekend. I took them over to the Eye Infirmary last Tuesday, so Friday (after school) I told Chloe I was going to take her straight there to pick them up.

That child squealed so loud every parent, teacher, and child looked over at us.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. MY KIDS HAVE ISSUES!!! *lol*

I hope your ankle heals, and I hope everything works out with that other thing.

Love and hugs!

Jackie,

What the heck has been going on? Isn't your initial tour almost through?
