Home again... to stay, this time

YAY, I am home!! A week long "field exercise" that was a total "charlie foxtrot" since this unit has not done this kind of training in like ten years, so talk about learning experience. I came home Friday thinking I was going to get to go straight to a nice bath and some good food but that was cancelled when I found out that I had to take over duties for incoming funeral honors since the primaries were both unavailable due to duties and illness. So instead, I left about an hour later than I would have otherwise, had to go back into the unit two hours later when more funerals came in on the fax. Luckily no calls came in Saturday, and I was able to relax and enjoy time with my kids, but first thing Sunday morning I got another call. So now I am freshly showered, trying to give my lungs a chance to recover from my asthma attack from the shower, and I will be headed into the unit shortly to deal with more funeral stuff... yet more time taken away from my weekend after two weeks of duty between field and garrison. Let's see if things get better for next weekend.

Jackie, just checked in I've been super busy. Are you still in IL? I thought you had awhile yet on your initial term. I thought AGR was such a great program for you. Sometimes things get tough at work, but usually the best bet is to stick them out until you find something else... I'm working on getting another job also, I'll fill you in sometime on IM if we talk. HOw are the kids? I'm glad to hear that your mom is health and strong for the treatment. Have you been able to spend some time with her? Hope you've been well these past few weeks sinc you last posted.
