A walk in the park

JP has been whining at me to go to the park almost everyday for the last week. I finally got
around to doing it today, but the weather had called for rain, so as we walked out the door... it started falling - again. We decided to go ahead to the park, anyhow, where JP promptly showed us why NOT to go down a slide after it rained!

The kids continued playing in the park for a little while, and they especially seemed to like the cargo net and the ship's bow that was there.

After a while we left the playground and headed down the path towards the bridge. The ducks and geese by the apartment are always hissing at us to stay away and what-not, but at the pond, they pretty much ignored us. They really loved walking on the trail, as we got further along, the trail split, and they decided to take the route going AWAY from the apartment building. They wanted to hit the second, small, bridge. Past the bridge, it turned into gravel, and given how wet it was, I didn't want to explore. I am hoping it dries up tomorrow, because I am going to get the kids bikes ready, pop on the helmets, and take them for a bike ride down the trail for some exploration.

I am hoping that when I get down to Fort Stewart, I will be able to have a lot of down time and not be working overtime a lot, so I can take the kids to the parks more often.
