Where is customer service?

Yesterday seemed to be a day of complete breakdown in customer service. I am staying at my ex's place due to a combination of saving gas and need to be here for maintance/deliveries/installations... and the power at my place was turned off a couple days ago. Yea, moneywise everything is bad. So we are crashing here til payday... no big deal, I needed to be here for the cable installation and housing repair, so just take advantage of it. Well, that was before I realized that the ENTIRE MORNING was going to be WASTED. Both were scheduled for between 0800 and 1200. At 1155 neither has come. I call the housing repair people... the guy had thought that he did all his appointments and went to lunch already, somehow he missed my paperwork in the stack. "SO sorry, ma'am, he is already at lunch, but we can have him at your place AT1300." Usually they say morning or afternoon, no specific time. Sorry, I got stuff to do, I gotta hit JAG so I can find out what I need to do to get a solicitation permit for on post, let's reschedule (shoot, so much for doing laundry at the ex's place this weekend - the dryer vent in the wall needs to be repaired, that is what the guy was supposed to do). So he is coming Tuesday morning. Next I call Comcast. They tell me they will have the people call me cause they are getting put on hold and don't want me sitting there on hold, too. 1215 I get a call... not from Comcast... the local office uses CONTRACTORS to do some of their installations. The contractor's dispatch office calls me... oh, the tech assigned your job didn't have any HD boxes and couldn't find any other techs that had one, so he moved on to his other appointments for the day hoping he would get his hands on a box at some point (nice of him to CALL ME). Ok, so he left this morning without making sure he had all the equipment he needed for his jobs? Oh, its not the techs fault, we are just contractors, Comcast didn't give us everything we need. Oh, not his fault he didn't make sure he had what he needed and requested what he didn't have? Oh, if you have a concern, you need to call Comcast... NO, YOU signed the contract with Comcast to do installations, YOU call Comcast about the fact that you don't have what you need to DO YOUR JOB! What do you want to do, ma'am, do you want to reschedule, or wait? Oh, right, like I got time to waste sitting here for ANOTHER 4 hours waiting on a guy who MIGHT show up...No, he needs to be here now... not going to happen ma'am... or I need to reschedule, I scheduled for morning, not afternoon, because I got stuff to DO this afternoon! So now I have to sit here AGAIN to wait for Comcast to come do an install. I orginally got it for Tuesday, but I went to the local office in person with my resident muscle, they offered a credit for the trouble and rescheduled for Monday afternoon and made a note NOT to have a contractor do the install. THANK GOD I don't have a job at the moment, because that would be TWO days I would have had to take off for this. So two busted appointments in one day, plus EXTREMELY RUDE customer service (which resulted in an email to the main Comcast offices - still waiting on that phone call the return email promised me last night)... AND I STILL DON'T HAVE A JOB!

Those guys are the only ones that get away with that stuff - we'll be there between this morning and ... never. How frustrating to have 2 in one day and have neither show up!!
