Teeth Suck!!

Yep, that's right!! I went to the special dentist, the Endodontic one, the one that does root canals. Yea, thanks to my tooth breaking big time on the one tooth, and a little bit on another tooth, I need two root canals. And because I am a high anxiety dental patient, we are opting for oral sedation... that my insurance does not pay for. So my cost share after insurance pays for the root canals is $308 for each root canal, plus the $120 sedation monitoring. Plus, the pills I have to get, the post hospital pharmacy does not carry one of them, so I have to either go to Wal-Mart, which I have never gotten an Rx filled there, or Walgreens, where I am in the system from when I was stationed in Chicago and didn't have a military pharmacy local, so I just have to update my stuff (insurance is now under my husband, not me, update my address and name), but the nearest Walgreen's is in Richmond Hill, about 30-45 minutes away depending on traffic and route, over by the dentist!! Either way, I will have to pay a co-pay for it, too, assuming they carry it at all! But, the guy was nice and gave me a script for Motrin as well as Percocet for night time toothaches. The Valium will be nice for the night before the appt!! I just can't wait to get the money saved up and get this work done and over with so my tooth will stop hurting! At least the other tooth isn't hurting (it isn't bad, it is just broken with a mild infection - hence the root canal), but I gotta get the work done soon before it gets worse like the first one!
