Happy Birthday!!

Today my baby girl turned 12 years old. Yep, that's right. She is one year away from officially being a teenager. And she is WELL aware of that fact, in fact, she likes to remind me on at LEAST a weekly basis. No gifts today, because all the gifts are coming in a little behind schedule, and my gift will give away what someone else's gift is, so I gotta wait til she gets it to give her my gift. My phone got a workout today, though, with all the phone calls. I was actually a little worried this evening that her father had forgotten about her birthday because he hadn't called, then I remembered, he's working late this summer, so I'll give him til bedtime to call, just in case, because forgetting special days like this is not like him. Sure enough, he called while we were at the resturant, so baby girl not only got to talk to daddy, she talked to her stepmother, and then she called her uncle and MeMaw. She already talked to Nana and Papa and her fairy godmother earlier. I'm surprised her ear is still attached!!
