The vacation is over, but so is the h***

This week was one of the longest weeks I have dealt with in a long time. George arrived, surprisingly his flight landed twenty minutes early, and the week was off to an insane beginning. We went present shopping Tuesday, between the two of us, we spent probably $500 on presents for the kids. Wednesday was a nice day for me to go off on my own, no kids, no babysitter to feel guilty about leaving with the kids, and no ex-husband to keep track of at the store. I still got gift cards to spend, though, and plan to have fun doing it this weekend. Thursday was an extremely early morning, as in 0430 wake up call. Arianna spent the night with her best friend, and JP came with us to the airport. He was not happy when George got out of the car, he was very upset when he realized that George was leaving. It breaks your heart when you hear "I want daddy!!" coming from an almost 4 year old that knows he is probably not going to see his daddy for another year or longer because of divorce and military duties. Luckily, he settled down a little bit later and fell asleep. Once we got home, he was still very tired, but insisted that I let him lay on the couch and watch TV. He didn't sleep at all, and unfortunately, neither did I. But he bounced up a little later raring to run around til his sister got down here and the two of them and her sleepover buddy went to town til the school bus came. OMG, I forgot how loud kids can be sometimes. Now the two of them are playing in their room, I am dead tired, getting ready to fix dinner, maybe bake some cookies and get my stuff ready for work tommorrow and go to bed. What a week, at least I am only working one day this week, but that day will probably be a long one.
