Lots to do, it never stops!

Well, I am freezing my butt off right now, because the A/C has kicked in and the dang vent is right next to my desk... so I can barely feel my fingers! Fourth of July on post kinda sucked, it was lame, but then again, it was sponsored by the military, so it will suck no matter what. At least General Lynch put in the effort to have any kind of event, but the biggest problem was that they were all spread out over too many different parade fields/training fields/MWR facilities. You had to hike from the parking areas to the events, and then to go to a different event, you had to hike back to your car, drive to another parking lot and hike from there to the next event. Not really worth it too much. I did go to the Salute to the Nation... the Silver Knights from the Airborne Jump School at Benning jumped in, but they are no match for the show that Golden Knights from Bragg do. And you don't have the US flag land first followed by the Army flag and the jumper with NO flag, completely backwards! But the kids loved watching them jump, and then the field artillary fired off 50 rounds from the cannons - one for each state. It was funny when the cannons jammed up a couple times, but out of fifty is not bad!

I did have to break down and went to the PX and bought a pair of new shorts, nice kahki shorts, cause I tried to wear jeans and almost died, but I didn't feel like wearing my jean skirt. But now I have a pair of shorts that are not running shorts that fit me - the two pair of jean shorts I have are butt floss right now, I got weight to lose!

I have been watching the Health channel occassionally while I web search for a job and clean, and I am seriously thinking about getting back into my running... now that I am in nice humid GA, maybe my asthma or whatever it is I have will not effect me as bad and I will be able to get my run time back down... assuming my knees and ankle can take it. Shoot, I still gotta finish the paperwork for my VA claim! I got a lot of work to do to get my stuff straight! At least I found a babysitter for the kids for job interviews, once I have a full-time job, I am going to enroll the kids in the on-post daycare, I don't trust home based daycares for long term care, had a really bad experience with the one I tried in NC!

Well, I am off to do more cleaning and warm up... then I am going to price shop for a new pair of running shoes... the ones I got are beat, they are almost a year old!
