Eight hours and counting!

Yep, in eight hours I get up to hit the road. Five hours later (or, allowing seven hours for traffic and getting lost) assuming my ex is running on schedule, I get my kids! FINALLY. Nine weeks without them has been very hard for me, but at the same time, a relief. It was the first time that I was away from them for more than a weekend without feeling guilty for leaving them with someone else. So I took advantage of it. Apartment is ready, more or less (got laundry to fold, but it can wait, same with the paperwork that needs filing), my stuff is packed, kids room is ready for them, kitchen is clean, gonna do the food shopping WITH the kids when we get back, let them help decide what they want for dinner next week. Just gotta figure out how to make my ass fall asleep tonight.
