Happy Mother's Day

Here it is, my 7th Mother's Day. Yep, that means my daughter is 7 years old. Almost 8. Being a mother is easier than I thought it would be, but balancing motherhood and the rest of life is harder than I thought it would be. Especially as a single mother. When I was married, my ex would get me some beautiful gifts, but nowadays, while I just adore the stuff they bring home from school, sometimes I miss getting that flower delivered home, or that pretty necklace or earring set. Right now I just want my Topaz necklace that he gave me a few years ago back (I gave it to him when we seperated, along with my wedding band, when he gave me the wedding set back, he said he couldn't find the topaz set, he says he didn't give to his mistress, and she swears that if she finds out he regifted my stuff to her, she will beat him, but none of us have found it yet). Oh, well. I got a growing flower from my daughter, it is a construction paper flower with a stem that "grows" with some green bean seeds in the pot card. When we get moved, we will see about planting the seeds.
